Tasting- Codirosso Chianti 2014

Name:  Codirosso Chianti
Variety: Chianti
Region: Tuscany
Country: Italy
Year: 2014
Price: $13

Winery Review: Ruby red color with purple reflections.  Intense vinous bouquet with hints of violets and dark cherry fruit. The flavor is full of ripe fruit and a hint of spice. It is well balanced and dry. The finish is persistent and satisfying.

My Review: I thought this wine had a very lovely ruby color to it. It had very nice legs as well. The bouquet was very strong, but it was a nice intensity with a cranberry and a black pepper smell to it. The taste was woody and it continued to have that spicy feel. The finish was very pleasant and enjoyable. Overall, a very nice wine. I would love to pair this wine with lamb or veal.
